to have VLC start in skin mode with preslected skin? I have a couple of winamp skins I like and there is one that I would like to have VLC revert to when ever it's opened instead of having to go to start menu and use the skins shortcut or select skin mode from the menu.

In the preferences, set the Default interface (and _not_ the Extra interface) to "Skinnable interface". The last skin you used should be automatically remembered.
