Winamp changed the whole shoutcast thing. I've started looking at it (no documentation is available ...) i'll rewrite the shoutcast module today. Track progress and findings here:

Doesn't work on my xp sp2 Ita, I can see only the genre, and when I try to open it vlc crash.

Yup, we are currently investigating that crash (seems to be windows only).

Shoutcast TV and Radio service crashes with nightly 25/26.
Radio service only genre is downloaded, no stations.
Windows XP SP2 English

Some details about the segfault:
There seems to be a bug in libxml which makes it segfault if it is initialised more than once in the same thread. A workarround is to delete the file libxml_plugin.dll which is shiped with VLC. This will be fixed in 0.8.5 final which is due to be released this week end.
