And another one

This time im creating a Skin which is inspired by the Windows Media Player 11 Skin for Vista.

So the Version without alpha blending has reached final state now. I think I wont change anything in it anymore. Now im waiting for the alpha transparency to release also the transparent "vistalike" version.

Features:
-Switchable Time Display (Current Time/Time Left)
-Equalizer with PreAmp and everything
-Resizable Playtree(only vertically)/Video Window
-DVD Controls (only visible if DVD is played)

You have to use small caps file names it seems if you use zip compression (see ipkiss' post in other thread). That will fix loading problems.

Tell me when you want to add this skin to the website

hasnt to do with lowercase and stuff, is all lowercase.
Sometimes it just doesn't display it, message log ending with "Received first data for our buffer"

When will alpha transparency/blending be implemented? I need it heavily for this skin.

Hi,
I've just talked of that with Ipkiss today, and it seems the code to do that is already present, but is not activated because it was quite slow and leading to strange side effects. Maybe we'll give it another try.
Nice skin anyway! By the way what is the visualization plugin you are using?

Could you try using Playtree instead of Playlist for the playlist ? (moving items in the playtree using skins2 isn't possible yet, but at least it looks better when you open directories)

Playtree isnt described in the documentation, i'll have a look at the dtd.

I'm using the Goom Visualization.

Updated again, used now the Playtree Tag, should definitely be added to the documentation. It's a little buggy though. The Slider doesn't update correctly if you open trees.

Now im just waiting for the alpha blending to be implemented.

I have a problem with that skin.
My VLC media player Version is 0.8.4a.
When I'm trying to change my skin it only shows the playlist of my current skin.
Do i do something wrong?

and by the way great skin. I wish there would be more developers for skins . I'm not really good in it. I havn't got enough patience to do that.

The Skin wasn't supposed to look like it looks now, this is just the version with non-transparent background. When Alpha-Blending will be implemented, you won't see much of the background anyway. So I won't release a dark skin.

Hmm seriously,it`s still not working this is so frustrating it just redirects me to Page 404 Error..Do I need to be registred or something..Again I plea could someone mirror it it`s just a small file

this is already the skin file. (*.vlt)
You just need to download it to your skin Folder and install it.

I redirects you to a file not found pange, thats funny. The file exists, and I have no problems to download it.
Try entering the full URL into your adressbar manually:

altglas... try removing the spaces from your skin names... that'll do wonders

problem is people are clicking on the links... and not looking @ the whole link... (because ther's as space it's not making the whole link)... solution:

remove the space from the file name so that its easier for ppl to download.
