subtitles in the middle of the screen

when i'm in full screen mode, the subtitles are in the middle of my screen on the left side and as small as i'm not in full screen mode

I have a similar problem, for me only when Deinterlacing is enabled the subtitles are in the middle of the screen. They are fine when it is disabled.
using VLC 0.8.4a for beOS

I had to turn it on to fix that...
