VideoLan Streaming

Postby philipsdenim » 24 Feb 2006 07:33

Hi,

Can anyone give me some idea to stream a wmv9(VC1) file through VLC? At present i can stream it using "http" mode (in streaming option of VLC) but i want to stream it under RTSP or UDP.

How will be the setup for sever and client mode in VLC

Thanks in anticipation...

You can only use a MMS broadcast stream for WMV in VLC.
VLC only supports HTTP and RTSP for VoD, and Windows Media Server is not RTSP 1.0 compliant, the only RTSP variant our server supports.
Don't use PMs for support questions.

Hi DJ,

Thanks for your reply.
Now I am slightly deviating from my previous question.
I streamed VC-1 file with ASF encapsulation under HTTP Mode. I want to do the same under UDP/RTSP.

Now how will be the setup for sever and client mode in VLC?
