Network player stopping

Postby krimd00t » 15 Dec 2024 03:14

Been noticing for the past week that whenever I open a network stream on the player, it will play from anywhere between 10-30 seconds and shut off.

All the settings are default on the player still, only steps I took were to uninstall the program and clear cache, and reinstalled it fresh. No fix.

This was the error message when it happens:

http error: local stream 1 error: Cancellation (0x8)
mpeg4audio info: AAC channels: 2 samplerate: 48000
avcodec info: Using D3D11VA (NVIDIA GeForce RTX 4070 Ti SUPER, vendor 10de(NVIDIA), device 2705, revision a1) for hardware decoding
direct3d11 error: SetThumbNailClip failed: 0x800706f4
http error: local stream 1 error: Cancellation (0x8)

Any help is appreciated,

thanks.

Please post the whole full messages log. Open Tools -> Messages (set Verbosity to 2) before you start the playback, keep the messages window open during the whole process and then paste the full resulting log here or on Pastebin.com or on Justpaste.it if it's too long.

This should work, I edited out the stream link I was using, but everything else is source.

Code: Select all

mmdevice debug: state changed: 1 prefetch debug: end of stream ts debug: Can't read TS packet at 12386248 main debug: EOF reached

Looks like the stream is not very stable and VLC is very picky when it's about playing TS files/streams.

I just don't know why that started happening all of a sudden, and never works now.
Previously I've used this site for months and never had any issues.

The server side is cutting the connection. Maybe the service is overloaded or they've made a crap update of their software.

Unfortunately there is not much you or VLC can do about it, other than restarting the stream.
