how to save a incomplete .avi?

Hi,

im all new to this video lan client, I have a divx video file which must be approx 99.9 % complete but does not play in any media players apart from VLC, how can I save this avi in a complete avi format so I can run it in wmp etc?

You shoud try the Stream Output function (in the Open MRL interface).

Just set output to a file, specify the format you prefer, play and wait.

Use DivFix. It is freeware. It re-indexes incomplete AVI's. Then you can view, edit, convert, whatever. (be sure to set the options to keep the original file!)

Virtualdub can also do this and it is also freeware.
