VLC Player - Play .WAV audio loops without gaps

Here's a 20 second video demonstrating the issue:

• .wav audio file is a perfect sine wave that loops seamlessly every 3 seconds.

• It plays a constant loop without gaps in software such as sound forge.

• When playing in VLC player on loop, the audio will have a a gap every time it loops.

Any way to fix this gap in settings?

Gapless audio playback is still not available yet in version 3.x, it might be available in version 4.

OK sounds good, thank you for sharing that info.

It seems reasonable to assume that there are no plans for this and that it will never happen.

It also seems reasonable based on the discussion history that a VLC version 4 won't be released anytime in the next 5 years.

Over/Under 2030 would be a great friendly wager
