Play Blu-ray folder from the command line

Postby barefootlance » 16 Oct 2024 08:19

I would like to be able to play a Blu-ray folder from the command line.

I can play a Blu-ray folder through the GUI:
1) Media -> Open Disc
2) select Disc tab
3) select Blu-ray button
4) click Browse... (next to the Disc device)
5) Choose MY_BLURAY_FOLDER (which contains BDMV folder)
6) click Play
==> Blu-ray plays with all the pretty menus

However, I can't figure out the arguments to get this to work from the command line. Has anyone been able to do this?

Just had the same problem.
I found the solution here: https://forum.videolan.org/viewtopic.php?t=98933

Code: Select all

vlc bluray:///"C:\myBD_movie"
This works in Win11 and VLC 3.0.20
