Saving a stream connection entry

Postby SerialIO » 14 Oct 2024 19:26

I feel like a dummy because I've obviously done this before but cannot figure out how to do it again.

I created the "Driveway Cam" stream a while ago and I'm trying to create another RSTP stream for an additional camera on my network. When I click "New Stream" and enter the camera stream info, it brings up the live camera image. How the heck do I save that stream link as another stream entity on the VLC tab? Somehow I did it for the Driveway Cam, but I cannot find a way to do it for the new camera.

It should be added automatically. If your streams are similar, maybe the app overwrite the Driveway Cam entry. Could you please try it and confirm if it's still playing your old stream?

Aza - I think you are on the right track. These two camera UTLs differ only in the path. The IP and port are identical. After entering the second stream URL, VLC brings up the camera view. After exiting, no new stream entry is created and the existing entry is not modified. The existing entry still brings up the correct previous camera.

I tried deleting the existing camera entry, then creating the new camera stream. The new stream opens correctly, but upon exiting the viewer, there is no new stream entry created.

Hope this helps.

Tom
