Hi all,
I quite frequently download video's using the VLC + Youtube.lua for non-professional purposes.
Since monday (maybe sunday) I seem to be unable to stream videos. The stream stutters and throws errors supposedly explained in the 'log'.
Not sure where to find the log. Followed a quick step-by-step (Preferences > Advanced > Logger > Created File = Empty Textfile?).
So that didn't seem to help, not sure why it didn't work (stored it in my documents).
Is anyone else experiencing these streaming issues (on windows 10)?
There is no apparant reason why this issue suddenly started occuring, no recent updates (did update VLC though afterwards to see if it fixed the issue), no new software, nothing chaging the ecosystem on clientside I could directly relate to this issue. Exactly the same as the day before when I could stream youtube video's without a problem.
Did some googling and found nothing of a recent cause, but did find youtube's plans to 'inject' ads into videos to counteract adblockers (god save us all, browsing the internet without addblockers is a living meme. It will certainly drive me away from Youtube if it gets toxic). Not sure if this recent development on youtube's end could be the cause (it did oddly coincide on the timeline with some of these newer more agressive ideas/video's I found. No links provided because it's not allowed I think).
Anyways, maybe someone knows why this occurs and I can't stream video's anymore?
Could someone see if the streaming still works on their end? Maybe then I can at least know if it's isolated on my end, because I can't find anything on this online. Never had problems with it before over many years now.
Thanks in advance for reading.
Greetings. NLKU
