Hi,
I'm new here, and I hope that I can find someone who can help me with a problem in VLC PLayer, if I can.
I am attempting to add audio to a soundless video using VLC Player of a band performing a song.
I was following the intructions on a YouTube video telling how to use VLC Player to perform this task. I do everything they say, which is:
Open VLC PLayer.
Click on Media
Click on Convert and Save in the drop down file
Click on "Add"
Click on Show more options
Click on Play another media synchronously
Click on Convert/Save, etc.
I go through the motions, and as soon as I click on "Start", it takes me to "Converting..." and at this time, a rectangular window pops up on my screen, the directions inside the recatngular window are: "The Output File Already Exists. If the recording continues, the file will be overridden, and its contents will be lost". There are two options to click on inside the rectangular box: "Overwrite" or "Keep Existing File".
I don't know what to do here, next. If I click on "Overwrite" a blue bar starts filling in at the bottom of the VLC Player, looking like the video and audio are now synched and loading, but they're only loading a prtion of the video. I either only get a small portion of the video with the audio I attached, or, I get nothing at all, and then, I can't close the VLC player unless I click on "Overwrite" again, then click on the X at the right, top corner of VLC player. Only then can I close it.
Does ANYONE know what I'm doing wrong? The video time is 9:56. Is this the problem?
Thanks so much.
Steve
