VLC Can't Play DVD RW's

I found some old videos on DVD RW's. Unfortunately VLC can't play them. I just get the sound and a white video stream (codec problem). However, if I open the folder in Windows Explorer then another video player can play the VOB files just fine. But not VLC.

I am using the latest version of VLC. It can play normal DVD's but it can't play this type of DVD RW, Is there any way I can add the missing codec?

Please open Tools -> Messages (set Verbosity to 2) before you start the playback, and then paste the full resulting log here or on Pastebin.com or on Justpaste.it if it's too long.

Try another audio output module:

BTW, any reason why you are using the 32-bit version of VLC ?

Thank you for your reply. I uninstalled the 32 bit version and reinstalled the 64 bit version. Same problem, white video with flickering black threads.

Actually the audio is very clear so I didn't change any audio settings.

I tried all the different Video output settings and none of them work for these DVD RW VOB files. VLC can play a "Normal" DVD; but it can't play these files from a DVD RW.

Media player Classic and Windows media player can play the VOB files just fine. However VLC can't play them.
