Toggle between VLC and Windows Browser?

Postby ogregon » 02 Apr 2024 00:15

Big apologies if this newbie did not look hard enough for an earlier post about this in the zillion of posts on here!

I use VLC for playing old DVDs on my PC.
Sometimes I want to zip out and check email or whatever on my PC, but seems when I do, I have to completely quit VLC to get out, and then deal with with the fact that VLC does not remember where I was in my DVD when I go back in ...
If the PC's taskbar would be visible when I am in VLC, that would be cool ... I could just pause the DVD playback, then pick it up after I checked my email or whatever on my browser ... (but it is not ...)
Any advice much appreciated.
I am an old man (79) so please be gentle ...
Thanks!

I'm not sure VLC can resume the playback of discs, hence DVDs. That said, you have no reason to completely quit VLC, you could just pause and minimize it.
The taskbar should be visible but maybe you have enabled the Always on Top feature ? Check the menu View -> Always on Top
