vlc-x-callback on tvOS?

I'm an app developer, and just tried to get VLC for tvOS to stream a video by using the vlc-x-callback method documented on the web site, from within my own app.

It didn't work -- it didn't even open the VLC app.

Is this custom URL scheme supported in the tvOS app at this time? If so, can you point me at a specific, concrete example of a full URL that's supposed to work? If it's not supported, please consider this a feature request.

Oh, we should add this to tvOS indeed. There is absolutely no reason not to do it. It's just that we didn't do the needed copy/paste.

With the current available tvOS version, i was not able to open a stream via a vlc-x-callback

I was wondering if this still on the roadmap? URL schemes work with iOS but not tvOS...

Just wondering if there is any plans to add this in? Maybe with tvOS 15 around the corner if there is an update planned for this could be added? If I am not mistaken it is just a config in the plist to get this working?

We currently don't have an immediate plan to support this.

As you said, it shouldn't be hard to integrate into the app itself.

We are trying to focus the resources we have into the iOS app, but all contributions are the most welcome!

Yes, I fixed that for version 3.3 about 2.5 years ago.
