How to get logs from AppleTV or iPad?

VLC is still freezing somewhat randomly on the 'Local Network' screen on tvOS and on the 'File Servers' display on my iPad. It's nearly instant when my v29 MythTV is running and a little delayed when it's turned off. I'm pretty certain that it's something on my network. I'd like to get the logs so I can know where to look.
