Is there a way to change the "patience" duration for loading URL tracks in a playlist?

Postby hamstar » 18 Feb 2024 22:00

I find I am not able to reliably play tracks from a URL playlist recently due to (what I assume to be) the duration they require to load. VLC seems to want to seek to the next track in the list before loading has completed, but oddly only for some of the tracks. I assume this is an issue on VLC's side due to loading "impatience". Is there a setting to adjust whatever this duration is?

Update: Actually, that may not be the issue at all. It looks like many of the tracks are skipping really fast with no indication of load failure, but some still manage to play. I honestly don't know what's going on anymore.

Update 2: Looks like this only an issue when shuffle is turned on. I can manually shuffle the playlist, but that's not as ideal. Oh well. Case closed for me, for now.
