Full screen control bar/interface

I can no longer raise or activate or bring into view the full screen control interface. The keyboard shortcut to activate it doesn't work, neither does adjusting playback with keyboard shortcuts.

Resetting the preferences to defaults did not resolve the issue.

Has anyone else experienced this behavior?

Any thoughts or ideas on potential solutions?

Yes, that was the first thread I checked out.. Unfortunately, my experience doesn't match that glitch.
Ithere doesn't seem to be anything I can do to get it to appear at all...

Reset the preferences (the manual way) and try again:
