VLC keeps repeating a video even when I disabled the option

I have enabled the option in preferences to continue a video where it last ended, so if for example a video last 2 hours and I watch it until 1:34:28, I can continue it from there the next time without having to remember the exact time

The problem is that some times if I ended the video for example at 1:34:28 and resume it later, when it reaches the end, it goes back to 1:34:28 instead of stopping or closing. This has happened to me many times on ipad and on iphone aswell if I remember correctly. I haven't tested on android recently

I have rechecked and my video preferences say "do not repeat" in white letters. I'm trying to reproduce the bug but I can't... it's happening randomly but quite often for me. Today, while testing, it happened multiple times, and some times it didn't

I don't know if it's relevant for now but my VLC version is 3.4.9 on my IPAD, but I just updated it right now. This new version mentions "Playback is no longer continued from the last position in loop mode", but I don't have the loop enabled. VLC version on iphone is already 3.4.9

As you noticed, some changes have been made to the continue playback feature.

I will try to reproduce your issue following the steps you gave, I tried several times but with the repeat mode "Do not repeat" (and no matter the shuffle state selected) I was not able to notice the strange behavior.

Do not hesitate to update this topic with further information if you notice something that could help us debug this!

Hopefully the update 3.4.9 solved it. If it keeps happening I might reply again and maybe then other people will mention if this has happened to them and maybe one of them knows what causes it

As another option, if this keeps happening to me, I will try testing different steps to see if I figure what causes it and let you know. Thanks for answering
