SHUFFLE Algo (iOS=13) prefers to play a few songs too frequently

Where can I get a look at the shuffle algorithm source code for VLC? The SHUFFLE Algo (iOS=13) prefers to play a few songs too frequently while other tunes are rarely played - some never. This happens when playing thru an on-line .m3u file with about 100 tunes in its list.

I'd like to see how Shuffle is written now, and maybe suggest some changes. For example:

(1) No song should be replayed until every song in the .m3u list has been played once.
(2) Each Session will begin with a User-selected tune from the entire list.
This temporarily overrides (1).
(3) All Played & Unplayed songs should be remembered locally, from Session to Session, for 30 days.
(4) The P/U Lists will automatically reset 1st of every month.
