VLC no longer playing some Internet Radio streams

Hey all. Looking for some help. About 1-3 months ago VLC just won't open some streams, MANY of them actually just won't open all right at the same time which is why it looks to be a VLS issue. I went to websites, and re-downloaded the m3u files, still a no-go. I updated VLC just now, still a no-go.

Here is the contents of the log file, hope someone can help figure out what happened, almost seems like VLC got corrupted or something:

BTW - Here is a link to one of the streams it won't open: https://danceuk.danceradiouk.com/listen-live/ (They don't seem to have a m3u option anymore on their site)

The link to your example is not a stream, but merely the link to the site which is hosting the content.

Use either the IP link shown below the file which in this particular case is 212.83.150.15:8022 (prefix it with http://) or right click the Windows play button on that site to get the streaming link which is https://danceuk.danceradiouk.com/playlist.asx

Both of these work if you right click, copy and then paste into vlc.

The difference between the two is that the IP address takes you directly to the server and therefore will be much quicker.

Ah NO. See, it does NOT work, and that is the point of the thread, it doesn't matter where and how you get to the stream (which btw my link DID point too, I just pointed to THREE different options to stream instead of only one). Just for sh*ts and giggles I tried the copy and paste method rather than downloading the stream file (what I've down for decades) and opening it and nada exact same issue.

Are you at least confirming it works for you then?

As I said, I suspect it is a local issue, maybe my VLC got corrupted IDK. If someone would kindly go through the error code maybe we can come up with an answer why a current working stream does not work

Thanks guys, I wonder if my firewall in the router might be blocking it then. Seems likely as I did increase the security on it recently, I can play other streams, it is just certain ones not working

You might not allow port different than 80 or 443 maybe.

Windows firewall was blocking VLC access to streaming stations. Adding URL to Exceptions in firewall opened it up.
