Playlist problem in new Versions 3.4.2 (and 3.4.3)

Postby RobbieKee » 21 May 2023 15:19

"I have an iPad with VLC installed, which I use to play music video files. It was working fine until the update to version 3.4.2 (and 3.4.3 also), but now it's not working properly. Previously, I could create a playlist with, for example, 10 songs. When I went to the playlist and clicked on a file, VLC would play that file and then stop (so the option for automatically playing the next item is also turned off). This can also be seen in the settings of the VLC app on the iPad; everything is configured correctly. However, with the update, something went wrong because even though the setting for automatically playing the next item is turned off, unfortunately, the entire playlist is being played; which is incorrect."

Please give me an solution or an link to downgrade VLC because i need VLC to perform show.

p.s. three other persons have the same issue.

With regards,

Rob

Hello,

This behavior has been introduced in order to match the Android application and is not actually a bug or an issue.

Playlists should always play the entire media list even if the "Automatically play next item" option is disabled.
If I am not mistaken, Apple Music's application and other multimedia content applications follow the same behavior too.

Thank you for the feedback!

So why is it not working? The Option to not play next song is on, so why it wil not stop then?

Why is this Problem there?? also 3.4.7!!

Why is there no response anymore? it has been said that this is normal, but then why is the option to "autoplay next item" present at all? It worked fine in the previous versions, but after an update a few versions before, it no longer works.
