How to hide battery and watch status on iPad

Hello,

I have a problem. I have already seen a similar question related to the fact that there is no setting that allows me to hide the battery status and the clock when I want to watch a video in full-screen mode. This came out after a recent update of the iPad version of the app.

That is, during full-screen playback, a white clock and a green battery icon are visible. The previous version did not have this.

I will wait for the earliest fix of this problem.

I use iPad gen 5. iPad OS 14.4.1 and the latest version of VLC (3.4.4)

I believe now that it is a bug, as nobody had pointed to a solution/fix.

Well, it introduced to me to other players for iPad which are able to access the VLC folder without problems. I keep that other player now, since VLC often introduces bugs on a very basic level (the current issue, for example, or files being not properly deleted and filling the iPad with (in my case) 300GB of non usable storage) that only get fixed in the next update and make it unpleasant to use.

My store region has no better choice than VLC. In general, I'm kind of an adherent (if translated correctly) of the guys who created and maintain this application: both on PC and iOS. I will not invent anything, I will wait in hopes of correction, it is a pity that at such moments I do not have a previous version of the device to restore all the previous settings. In any case, I can just temporarily recode the formats in the same VLC on the computer.

For me it currently is just watching movies directly from my iPad without any other stuff on screen and being able to load and delete movies. And since VLC cannot provide that every other version I need to have a backup player.

We will fix this for the next update. Note that for the meantime, you can run the app in bright instead of dark mode to hide the status bar.
