For reasons covered elsewhere, I had to re=install vlc 3.0.18
on Windows 10 (Version 10.0.19045 Build 19045)
The re-install didn't install a taskbar icon, & the one that shows up when in use or when I force it on the taskbar is the "folded paper" icon.
This is confusing - how to get the right one?

First, reboot your computer then reinstall VLC.

However it seems to have fixed itself somehow in the past few days as the app was used.
