How to advance by 5 seconds??

Hey all - new here and I apologize if I not doing this correctly - please speak up/redirect me if so. I am trying to set the hotkeys for advancing video, but all I have in the menu under "hotkeys" (in preferences, show all) are the sizes of the advances - unlike the instructional materials on the VLC help website, my menu just doesn't show the options shown in the materials. Does this mean I can't change them?

MacOS (13.4 (22F66) Apple Silicone, Version 3.0.18 Vetinari (Apple Silicon))

I wish I could post/attach the image of the menu. Nine NEVER look like the training materials - is that b/c I'm on Mac? Perhaps this is an ara y'all need help? Once I can figiure the --please stay polite-- out, I'd be happy to start writing some instructional manuals - I'm pretty good at it........
