Vlc player for ipad skips first bit of songs

Vlc player skips the first half a second of mp3 files on my ipad since i updated to the new 3.4.0, so most songs that have lyrics straight away miss the first word. This did not happen on 3.3.0 so it must be the new player.

I'm on an ipad pro 2022, using ipad os 16.4.1a.

By the way is there a way to mark all my files as not "new", as when it updated i had to go through all 2000 songs and select them in order to remove the marking, which was quite the job.

Also, I've noticed it sometimes reverts back to the old player interface on rare occasions. Weird?

I had an idea to completely remove the app and reinstall it. This works, but has the unintended side effect of deleting all my offline songs. So I've got to put them back again, and unmark them as new!

Still at least it works now. Perhaps an option to not delete files when uninstalling would be nice in the future? Thank you
