Can't sort into Folders

I am running the latest version of VLC on my ipad and the ability to sort movies into folders seems to have gone away.

In my Files app I have the videos sorted like I would like, but when I open VLC they just show up as one giant list. Is there any way to go back to being able to have my videos in folders so I do not have this humungous thing to sort through?
