Playlist not working

I have made numerous playlists on VLC app on my phone and the names of the playlists are still there but lost all the songs please help. The songs had been taken from a SD card

What version of the app are you using ? were you able to use your playlists without issues before, or have you just started using playlists ?

We've had other reports of similar issues, and i'm currently looking into it. Thank you for the bug report.

3.5.4 I have also just put playlist from my SD card on my wife mobile VLC app and it cannot play the playlist I've created. It seems I can only listen to my songs on as card on VLC at the moment. I hope I'm making sense!

I kind of have a similar experience it is the most recent movies that I have watched it is not becoming current the last movie was from a couple of days ago that it is still showing and everything that I am watching now it is ignoring it this is so frustrating someone please help this is on 4k firestick

@Gjroberts1986 I'm sorry, this is not making much sense to me. Are you using m3u files to move playlists or are you creating a playlist from files on an SD card ? Is it possible to have a video of the issue to make it clearer ?

@stockman, you issue is not clear either, and doesn't seem related to this one. Are you speaking about the history section on the main screen ? If so please open an other thread, so that we can discuss there.

@skantes the music are m4a and mp3. When I have my SD card in can play the songs but I have been able in the past to make playlists on VLC app and whether sd card in or not I can listen to songs. When I made playlist and then take sd card out of my wife's mobile and try and play songs it says 'multiple media cannot be played'
