How to save new adjusted"Video effects" settings as default?

Postby thoste » 28 Sep 2010 15:59

When I go to menu
Tools->Effects and Filters->Video Effects->Basic

then I can set new values e.g. for Brightness and Saturation for the currently running movie.
However when I later restart the same movie or other movies then the settings are again the initial ones.

How can I permanently set my personal current values as default for the future for ALL movies?

its your graphics card, not vlc.
you can tweak vlc as many times as you like but it'll change back every time.
i suggest you check here:-

1. Choose Show ALL settings in Preferences windows.
2. -Video, +Filters, tick Image properties filter under Video filter module.
3. -Video, -Filters, under Image adjust, to change the values.
4. Save

Didn't work for video cropping.

What worked was video filter CLI args. The effect is applied, but not shown in video filters settings (Ctrl-E).

Code: Select all

vlc.exe --video-filter=croppadd{cropleft=100,cropright=100}
