VLC problem with external card storage

After installing VLC i go to the settings and added folder with video files on my external card. The video files were added successfully and played without issue, but every time i close and open VLC it seems to loose these settings and i have to go to the settings and add the folder with video files again. VLC has permission for the Storage. Any idea why this is happening?

My phone is Moto X Play with LineageOS. VLC version is 3.5.3 and i downloaded it from F-Droid.

I hope this bug will be fixed. It's a serious issue.

It it fixed, as described by the link from Lotesdelere. While we finish working on the next version 3.5.4, the fix is already present in the 3.5.4 Beta 2.
