Loop video from Dropbox, read videofile content periodically

Hi,

I have a screen that I use to show information and I want to do that streaming a video file. What I would like to do is to just keep the same file name and update the video with new content when needed.
The issue I am having is that VLC does not reload the file to include the updated content.
Anyone know if this is possible?
