SPC files not "infinitely playing" on 3.0.18

Postby sonicdoommario » 05 Dec 2022 18:12

Hi, I have a couple of SPC files on my computer (which is the format for Super Nintendo audio files). These are normally small files so I have them loop. On version 3.0.17, the song will "play infinitely" instead of "loop" (it would play as if you were listening to the song in-game, with no interruptions). A lot of these files have a little opening riff at the beginning so by "playing infinitely", the song will play smoothly, but on version 3.0.18, the song loops back to the beginning, so you end up hearing the opening riff of the song. Also, by "playing infinitely", one of the files is 1:27 in length, but VLC will just play beyond that 1:27 (so you'd see the bar at 2 minutes, for example).

I'm sorry if this doesn't make sense, I'm not sure on the best way to explain this. I reverted back to 3.0.17 where the files play as expected, and to test further, I went back to 3.0.18 where the files will not loop properly.

Is there a setting change that I'm missing?

Thanks for any help!

You should create a new report ticket on the VLC Trac with your above report, the link to a sample file and the link to this thread:
