VLC setup as media server.

Well I've had VLC on my computer since 2011, never really used it much. but I just updated to a Macbook Pro 2021 M1 chip, running Monterey and Serviio Server will not install
I went to VLC and tride to setup the media server, but all the info I found on the internet was wrong.
starting with the (click streaming) which does not show on my app... btw my VLC is 3.0.17.3

I appreciate the fact that this software is a collaborative of many people and it plays on many OS's
but still one would think that the directions would mirror what the app has on the given OS.
Can anyone please explain how to setup the VLC as a media server... Like I said I have used Serviio for years, it had
it's draw backs, but was not bad, I've tried other's but they are not as friendly as Serviio was.
