TVOS Search Bar -- Felix?

Felix, I don't think I've ever seen an official response on this...

At some point a while ago, the Search Bar functionality disappeared for AppleTV4k (I think all versions). Is this something that can/will come back in the near future or due to whatever challenges is this something I shouldn't keep waiting on?

Euh, which search bar did we break? When browsing directories of network shares or something else?

Firstly, thanks so much for your reply...

Well, it's been broken a long time now and there's several threads in here about it that go back quite a while...

Once you connect to a server/share, and you are seeing the contents (files and folders) you have the option to search the contents. You cannot move into the Search bar in any way.

Felix, Just figured I'd check in...

I am guessing this has been a tough one to fix as I saw that VLC on TVOS updated not too long ago?...I tried searching right after I noticed and still seems to be a no-go.

Regardless of anything else, I do love the software and use it a lot. So THANKS!

Yeah, I looked into it for a while and didn't find a working solution that didn't break other behaviour so the problem is still there.
