How to Center Window Position?

the video is not integrated in the interface so i want to start every video in the same center position. so instead of moving the window every time to the center of the screen i want it to automatically to open at the exact center of the screen (not full screen). I understand that there is a window properties options where i can type the coordinates but i dont know what to write and it seems to have no effect anyway. so is there a way to make this happen? make VLC video window open at the same position in the center of the screen...

Those coordinates should work. Just input them as positive pixel values where you want the video to appear.

I hope it's okay to resurrect this old topic, but I experience the very same scenario.

Centering is automatically for low resolution videos, but completely hides the bottom (and some of the right side) of high resolution videos (also see the still true Window X,Y coordinates won't work?).

While the top left corner is technically centered, it makes the rest of the video appear bottom right. Can anything be done so the center will show the whole video?
