Deleting .VOB files

Once I have converted .VOB files from a DVD to .mp4 files using the VLC converter and after putting those .mp4 files in a folder to be uploaded into iMovie at a later date, can I delete the .VOB files in the VLC app? I'm trying to free up space on my Mac. Thanks to anyone who can help - this is the first time I'm using the VLC converter app.

Sorry, we don't do a VLC converter app. Can you do a screenshot of what you see so we can help?
