I need help. I can't output 2 videos synchronously, and subtitles in a separate window

For questions and discussion that is NOT (I repeat NOT) specific to a certain Operating System.

There are:
1. There is a file with the lecturer's voice acting.
2. There is a file with a video presentation without sound.

Task:
1. it is necessary to run them in parallel
2. or pick up the audio track when playing the presentation

I read how to do it here

To do this, just open VLC and select "Multimedia" > "Open multiple files" .
Inside several file windows, select "Add" to add the first file.
After that, select the "Show advanced options" checkbox, and then at the bottom of the window, select the "Play another media synchronously" checkbox.
Select "Advanced" to add a second file.
Press the play button and two media files will be played simultaneously with one control window.

How not to fight, only one video is played in one window, there is no second window ...

Tell me what I'm doing wrong?
