Parametric EQ Settings

Postby Marcus Halberstram » 03 May 2022 16:04

Hi,
I'm using VLC as an audio player for my FLAC library.
Until recently I've been using the 3-band para EQ to address a couple of room modes but the results aren't quite as I would like.
In the Para EQ settings there is an option for Low, High and then the 3x EQ bands.
Are the High and Low options for shelving? I really hope they are as this would save me having to spend money on a player that supports plug-ins...

Thanks

I was about to answer no but I just discovered that VLC has indeed a parametric EQ.

Run VLC, Press Ctrl-P, tick "All" to get advanced preferences, then "audio", "filters".

Tick "parametric EQ" and go to the "parametric EQ" to configure it.

High and Low are indeed for shelving, according to the code source.
