VLC 3.3.6 can no longer add songs to playlist or use selected song options

I’ve encountered a frustrating bug where upon being on the song list and tapping the notepad icon on the very right to add a song to playlist, rename songs, delete, and export them, none of the buttons work. They get darken in colour when tapping them but nothing happens. It’s clearly detecting the input but nothing is happening at all. I assume it’s a bug that occurred with one of the recent updates
VLC version: 3.3.6
IOS version: 15.4.1
Any help would be appreciated

Also to further clarify. This is occuring on an standard Iphone 11 running IOS 15.4.1
