BUG: Playlist videos must respect the Disable Screensaver setting

Postby KDV » 24 Apr 2022 17:35

VLC 3.0.16/Win7_x64

When VLC is playing several video files queued in it's playlist, system screen saver appears on keyboard/mouse inactivity timeout. When VLC is playing a single video file(e.g. open as command line parameter), the option value "Disable screensaver during video playback" is respected and system screensaver is suppressed when the option is on.

VLC should suppress screensaver when it outputs video to screen, independently of playlist usage.

P.S. Why reporting issues here? - VLC portal 2FA blocking issue

Yes, i don't have 2F authenticators on smartphones/PCs, i don't want to turn them into a garbage dump with growing bullshitware zoo, i don't want to "buy" anything(e.g. 2FA devices), i don't want to overbloat my mind with resolving 2FA VLC portal usage blocker, etc.
I just want to support this great project with as less headache, as possible. And don't believe reporting several bugs worths even a little piece of the mentioned trouble set.
