AirPlay Have Audio but no video

I just downloaded and installed VLC for iMac (Monterey 12.3) and popped in a DVD. The Mac and the TV are connected, but the TV is only playing the audio from the DVD. Video on the TV shows my computers start up screen. Have I done something wrong?

There is no support for AirPlay streaming right now. You can use the OS airplay system to stream the desktop and audio but that's all.
