remote control problem

Hi.

I have a ir remote control, HP (RC6), to my computer. It works to some of my programs, like QuickPlay, but it doesn't work for VLC..

Should I change something in preferences? or is there a plug-in I could use..

I wonder the same thing. My remote works just fine with windows media player but not vlc, please don't say I have to go back to that?

is there some way somwone could write a plugin for vlc to make the QP buttons work?
