WHY IS VLC PLAYER TOTAL GARBAGE ???

I have a high end windows 10 workstation HP z640 16gigs of memory etc.

and VLC player is playing my DVD in the rom drive like crap ? it has a frame rate issue slowww and delayed and the video does not flow silky ??

I have yet to see VLC play DVDs correctly It seriously CRAP, why is this player so popular when its total garbage ?

I have installed Media Player Classic out of sheer frustration and it plays the DVD perfectly


Oh I have tried disabling hardware, etc etc playing with various settings, and NOTHING works !

Can Someone please tell my why VLC is such a pile of rubbish


I have wasted so much time with this rubbish, to the point of changing hardware from a workstation HP Z620 running windows 7 64bit to a new PC HP z640 workstation running windows 10
both computers were high end and fully loaded for good hardware

and sill this VLC rubbish can not playback DVDs silky smooth, it's as if there a frame rate playback issue, its delayed and jerky ..... unless VLC can not play PAL DVDs correctly ?

all I know is it useless at playing DVDs correctly

VLC has the best sound quality! I have 130db DAC connected to VLC. Sound quality is the best among about a dozen media players I tested. There in no match on sound quality.

Totally agree vlc is the biggest piece of garbage. You have to keep altering basic settings to play your tune and the most stupid thing of all is when you select an option such as your equalizer menu it jumps off the screen, a complete piece of --please stay polite--. Don't worry about Darnassus he is just a narrow minded fanboy who has no brain cells.

Hmm .. just updated from VLC 2.x.x to latest and .. WTF happened?! I've been using VLC since release but right now I just can't believe what am I seeing.

I can't adjust volume with mousescroll, it's slow as hell and it could change like 5% per second.
When pause, sound plays for like 1s. When unpause then, sound is missing for some time. Often it starts to play, then get missing for a while.
When jumping with Ctrl/Shift+Arrows, weird things start to happen.

I hope there is only something wrong with my settings but I'm going to revert to my previous as 3.0.16 (and maybe whole 3.x) is not worth it.
