new Apple TV Remote and VLC

Hi guys,

It appears that new Apple TV remote isn't compatible with VLC playback bar: neither 10 sec back/forward or click-wheel functionality aren't available in VLC.

This is correct. However, you can still click and seek. The other behaviour will be added in a future update. I got the remote yesterday.

Will VLC support the new click wheel rotate gesture, similar to what we had on ipods?

Yes, but I don't know when. There are many interesting and important things to work and the number of people is limited.
