Subtitles won't autodetect

Postby trueboss926 » 21 Feb 2021 03:07

I have subtitles placed in another directory called "Subs" but VLC won't detect them. I checked the preferences and the autodetection paths seem to be correct: .\subtitles, .\subs The fuzziness is set to 1. Despite that it won't find any subtitles.

What type of subtitles ? Which extension ?
Do they have the same name as the video ? (example.mp4 example.srt)

:?: fuzziness level vs. autodetection paths
Tools > Preferences > Show settings=All > Video \ Subtitles/OSD:
: Subtitle autodetection fuzziness [1]
: Subtitle autodetection paths [.\subtitles, .\subs]
