VLC 3.0.12 Vetinari (Intel 64bit) crashes after Java install

Hi,
I'm running VLC 3.0.12 Vetinari (Intel 64bit) on a Macbook PRO 2012 with Catalina 10.15.7 (19H524).
I created with DVDFAb a backup of one of my bluray disks PATRIOT GAMES in iso format, including all menus and BD features.
I was trying to play the iso file and I was just able to play the film, as it was saying that to play the menu Java was needed.
Therefore I installed Java 8 update 281.
After that, when I try to play the PATRIOT GAMES iso VLC crashes immediatly.
Is this a known bug or a mistake on my side?
