Deinterlacing is defect

Postby Steve2 » 16 Jan 2021 12:58

All interlaced video are shown with jerky movements, as if it were 25p movies, instead of 50 Hz, although I have activated deinterlace (Version 3.0.11).
This bug exists since update from Version 2. Now I have to use "Windows Media player" because it rendes in perfect 50 Hz with automatic deinterlace.
Why nobody notices it? There is a huge quality differenve between 25 and 50 Hz.
A similar problem they had in "Shotcut" editing software, however now in repair: They did not know that the repair is simple.

Menu Video -> Deinterlace -> use BOB or Yadif 2x.

Return to “General VLC media player Troubleshooting”
