Splitting of audio and video

Hello guys,

I would really appretiate your help if you could inform me if you know a way to send video to Chromecast (as I have done) but at the same time the audio by Airplay or other means to another device.

My problem is that I have quite a big distance from the computer to a projector. VLC sends the image quite well, but it also sends the sound and I cannot hear from the projector and therefore need the sound to be send to another device

Did you manage to solve this problem? Of course you can use an additional hdmi audio extractor. But I don't think this is an elegant solution. I think the software can do this better.
