Firestick VLC Player can't fix audio sync after update

Hopefully the fix will be good. I’ve just came across this forum looking for how to set the audio delay permantly. I have a firestick using vlc, and the sound from the tv comes through a sound bar connected using hdmi arc. I need to set my vlc to -500ms for everything so a global setting will be a great addition. To help other users that are using a fire stick. To select the audio delay as mentioned in other posts you need to press the 3 dots to access the audio delay function. To do this you need to install “ mouse toggle” in to your firestick and switch to this mode so you can select this function. Works for me

I can see that an update has been applied and the adjustment of audio delay is done on the fly.
Is there any way to save the audio delay so I don’t have to keep going back into the settings and having to re set the audio delay each time I change a channel ?? I need a constant -500ms to sync my audio to video as I use a sound bar. But every time I change a channel the audio delay resets to 0ms and I have to set it all again

If it's stable enough, I will release a new version on the Amazon AppStore, but the last version took almost one week to be accepted. So you will unfortunately have to be patient.

We are thinking about adding a more convenient way in a future version though.

It's only in beta (on the Play Store), so we cannot give ETA now. We have a remaining blocking issue that is preventing us from releasing the app as it. I am really sorry, but it will take some more time.

I haven't seen that mentioned anywhere. I filed a bug/request to have this featured added, but as far as I have read in this thread, this just makes the Audio Delay menu option accessible again, nothing else.

Not for no. I am working on finding an elegant way to do it though.

We have been struggling fixing some network issues. It seems to be good now so the release should not be far now.

I'll let you know when I upload it to the Amazon AppStore.

I can confirm that the new build has landed on Amazon and I now have access to the Audio Delay menu from within playing videos.

The update had made things much easier to audio sync / delay. If the save function happens in a future update great, if not, no worries.

As you saw, releasing a (even a minor) version can take some times, but you will get this feature soon.

I continue to have problems with audio sync and crashes when clicking the 3dots to adjust audio delay.

I have a Fire TV CUBE and the issue occurs with official 3.3.2 from Amazon APP store and with the new 3.3.3 that i sideloaded... same issue.

To make it clear: Google lib is crashing when you use a popup menu in a bottom sheet dialog. We won't use a popup menu in this case to avoid the crash.
