playback progress clock

Postby picwiz » 20 Dec 2020 21:07

I'm running vlc v.3.0.11.1 on Mac OS Catalina 10.15.7. When I view in the default vlc window (i.e. not full screen mode) either a commercial DVD or a digital file (a .cdr file that's the image of a DVD that was made as copy of an old Super 8 movie) I get the progress bar timer increasing as the movie progresses. However, someone else has the actual DVD (that I made the image of) and when she watches it on her Mac with the same version of vlc and Catalina, she has the progress timer decreasing. I can't find any preferences option that will let me switch the direction of the timer on her computer. Is it possible? And I went through completely deleting her version of vlc and reinstalling it, but with the same result. What's going on?

To change between the display modes, just click on the time.

I can't believe that the solution was that simple! Thank you.
